Value deal or no value deal?

In Rolleston New World supermarket today, you could buy a three pack of Up and Go chocolate milkshake for $4.75. Or you could get a value deal on a six pack, for $9.49. That's a saving of 1c, (half a pee) , or just over 0.1%.

I'm not sure that really represents a significant increase in value, worthy of being called a value deal.
